How to recover hard-deleted items in Outlook 2003, Exchange 2003

You probably know that you can recover deleted items in Outlook, by selecting "Recover Deleted Items" in the menu. But there is also an another method that can be useful sometimes. If the message was deleted by Shift-Del (so called hard delete) or it was recalled then there is no copy of it neither in the Deleted items nor in Recover deleted items. However, each folder (Inbox as example) has it's own deleted basket. To access it you can use OWA: https://server_name/exchange/user.name/inbox/?cmd=showdeleted

I think you can also do this with exmerge "Restore items from Dumpster".

I must admit that exist nice tool-recovery file .pst,it works with mails and perhaps more than,also application is free as far as I know,utility recover data from files in *.ost and *.pst formats,permits to avoid data losses, when mail server administrators face a problem of viruses, hardware damages or software errors,will process a backup copy of your account in *.ost format, that is created automatically by your mail server and convert all messages, contacts and even attachments to a file with *.pst extension, you may open it offline by any email client,start working on corrupted pst file recovery with Outlook pst file recovery software.
